LOL - Love Our Lurkers....

Today is designated in the online blogger world as LOL or Love Our Lurkers Day.

I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to jump start things on my own blog and hopefully make myself find time to write more regularly even if it is a short sweet and to the point little post.

As you might have guessed, I have been super busy these days planning for a wedding and working a "new" job at the brand spankin' new Cowboys Stadium.

I hope that my readers will return as the posts increase and a few new ones will come by and check me out. Also, if you have been lurking but just waiting in the background without leaving comments - today is your day so take advantage and post....post...post.

I look forward to hearing from folks out there and also if you have any suggestions of what you want to hear me ramble on about drop a line and I'll see what I can do.

Happy Anniversary Cane-iac...

I'm not talking about the site itself (not sure when they came into existence so can't give an anniversary date), but I have been in contact with this wonderful site and received my first product from them a year ago.

It was one of my STILL most used implements and is a wonderful strap. It has my name "Lil Dixie" emblazen across it.

When I first got it, I was a little unsure about it because it seemed somewhat stiff feeling to me. However, it soon became very popular with all my friends and of course with ME! It now is so very supple and absolutely wonderful feeling. It still carries the perfect weight and sting to it and remains one implement that always finds its way out of the bag when it comes time to play.

Back online...

Just wanted to stop by quickly and see what everyone is up to these days.

I am just rounding out a whirlwind traveling month. Jack and I just returned from a week back in my hometown in Tennessee. It was a week that went by way to quickly.

I have a few stories to tell from our visit that are amusing, but before I can do that I need to get unpacking.

Will try to get back to the posting before this weekend because if I wait longer than that it will be next week before I'm back online posting since there is a Bottoms Up party in Dallas this weekend that we will be attending.

A great Fouth of July weekend....

I'm finally back and settled in after a very nice weekend away with friends in Oklahoma.

It was a nice break from the city for both Jack and myself. It was also a nice way to hang out with some of our spanko friends. (Yes, the Fourth turned into a small little spanko party at the friends house.)

I always tend to get swatted more at this particular house, mainly because the Top that lives there is ever so helpful in guiding Jack to spank me and with just about anything within reach! I wouldn't have it any other way though, but Shhhhh I don't want them to know.

We played a game of run the bag. Of course, we wound up getting a bit laid back and wanting to try some new implements out of each others bags so we abandoned the random implement aspect. The only thing random was number of swats you received and who was giving them.

One item that got used by every bottom was my latest toy from Spank me with Leather. It is a nice little piece of bridle leather with a purple lizard inlay. When I first acquired this piece it looked a bit small and I wasn't sure exactly if it would pack any real attention getting. I was pleasantly surprised to find it did indeed if you like sting such as I do. Don't let the smaller size of it fool you. It has enough weight in the leather that it makes impact and leaves a warm sizzling sting behind. I received good reviews from all that tried it this past weekend. I recommend checking out the Spank me with Leather website and seeing if there is something you might like and getting it!

Another one of my toys that just had to come out into play was my customized leather strap from Cane-iac. I love this piece of leather. It has my name Lil Dixie branded across it. I love this piece and it is perfectly worked in from all the use it gets.

Not only were bottoms blazing...so were the skies above us for the 4th of July. No party would be complete without a few fireworks. Of course, at some points we wondered if we would get a chance because Mother Nature decided to put on a light show of her own. (Needless to say that didn't stop us much...we even had a water gun fight in between the showers!)

Night finally approached...the skies grew dry...and we set up the area to safely shoot off a nice selection of big, small, and everything in between fireworks. I gotta say these shows get better every year with these friends.

When it was all said and done...and we survived a few minor unexpected mishaps (no one was harmed I swear), we headed back inside to wind down with some more spanking and chatting.

The following day, before we left those of us still there got a chance to ride and even drive motorcycles. I will be the first to say - I am a rider not a driver, but I still have alot of fun. It had been a year since I had last gotten a chance to ride so I enjoyed every second of it. Jack even got to practice riding double with me on the back since he had mainly only went out as a single driver of a bike before. There was something really nice about holding onto him on the back of the bike.

Unfortunately, the weekend as all things had to end. So we packed up...said our goodbyes...and headed back for home. Not a short trip and made even longer by leaving fun and friends behind.

The 2009 Spanking Tube Challenge..

One of my friends, Richard Windsor, who some of you may know from videos with the likes of Pixie Wells and other Punished Brats has decided to have a little fun and put together a spanking video challenge.

The rules are simple and you can check the full line up out on his blog.....here.

The basic idea is to film yourself spanking or getting spanked (whatever your preference)...make it no more than 6 minutes long...and submit it to the line up of videos to be voted on until we crown a single winner. Oh and I almost forgot the most important part - HAVE FUN!!!!

This will be an amateur video contest so don't be shy and don't feel that you don't have a chance...everyone has a chance as long as you enter. So head over to Richard's site now and put your name in the hat.

And I thought it was bad before...

The last time that I went under the weather, Jack wanted to be sure that I took some medicine for it and on a timely schedule. I am such a horrible patient and not the best at taking any kind of medicine. I always tell myself I don't need it and will get better without it etc. Of course this isn't always the case and even with conjested chest and stuffy head a bit of meds and I'll be well much sooner than just letting it run it's course. I'm an intelligent woman and know this...but when I'm sick it is hard to follow through.

Last time I got this head and chest junk, Jack and I lived in different homes and he just had to remind me by phone or ask after the fact did I take my meds and couldn't really be too on me about it. Even with this, I probably moaned and groaned about it just because that is the type of patient that I am always.

This time around though we were in the same house. Not only that but with the new title of fiance it seemed even more important that he watch after my health. I didn't realize it until the phrase of "you need to get some medicine" turned into "we ARE getting you some medicine". Also, I might add it is not as easy to press my luck with not getting enough rest or taking the meds when you live with the person looking out for you. Something I still from time to time have to get used to (but might add it is probably the best thing in the world to get used to!).

Jack made sure to set a time for me to get my backside in bed to get enough rest and held me to it. In fact, on two nights he escorted me to the bed...laid with me til I fell asleep and couldn't fight it (one night when I had trouble with sinuses that made it hard to breath when i laid down I fought going to bed tooth and nail and even tried just sitting up in bed til he tugged on my arm to get me to lay next to him in his arms). Now he was not tired in the least at these early times, so as soon as I was passed out completely from meds and exhaustion he got back up and relaxed til he was ready to go to bed. Of course, I picked on him for this because it is completely unfair. He always replies I don't care about fair .... I care about you. How am I suppose to argue with that? The best I can do is throw out the pout face. I don't think it works but it makes me feel some better.

It was a different experience for me all together....but it is all worth it in the end.....and I did get to feeling better sooner than I would have otherwise when I overdo it on my own I'm sure.

We're Engaged!!!!!!

Yes, you read that correctly everyone. As of this weekend Jack and I are engaged.

It happened this past weekend while attending Scarborough Faire with a group of friends. Here I thought it was going to be a typical day with friends at the Faire...boy was I wrong.

It did start off normal enough...I got up and got dressed in costume (I wanted to be Tinkerbell for the day because there were plenty of people dressed as fairies in and around the Faire)...headed off to the Faire...walked around...looked at shops...took in shows...enjoyed company of a rather large array of friends. It didn't turn out to be something out of the ordinary til I got picked out of the audience to be a volunteer for one of my favorite acts at the Faire.

At that point the stage was set quite literally. This was the last show of the day for Don Juan and Miguel and otherwise known as the weird show complete with whips and flaming swords. My job as volunteer was to wear a blindfold and have a bundle of angel hair pasta cut with a whip while holding the pasta securely between my lips on one end.

Don Juan let the whip fly cutting the pasta perfectly as planned and then it was time for the blindfold to come off....I was all set to go sit back down until suddenly it dawned on me Jack was on stage too and on bended knee. He opened the box and I couldn't speak. All I could do was nod my head yes and wrap my arms around Jack. Miguel actually had to verify that I had said yes and told the audience to which they exploded in cheers. Of course I had about 15 of my closest friends in the audience at the time as well so that helped with the cheers.

I think it took the entire rest of the show for me to stop shaking from everything.

It was one of those moments in time where it didn't seem real and had that "only in movies" feel to it. Definitely a memory to last a lifetime and one I will always cherish. What a story to tell of an original proposal. Plus...how cool for an ultimate Tinkerbell fan to say she got engaged while dressed AS Tinkerbell??? ~smiles~

Now it is on to all the other fun stuff of deciding when and where...we have some ideas in mind already thankfully. So now time to narrow it down.
